[Vwdiesel] Vac pump

I would NEVER go back to the old diaphragm style pump. If you have never had this vac pump working it could have really old sticky oil in it and it isn't letting the plastic sliders come out. Take the top cover off and see if you can move the sliders. I was able to spine my vac pump while dry and get the sliders to fly out when spun fast enough by hand. 

Also it sounds like your lug bolts and CV joint bolts aren't getting torqued correct. Shouldn't have that many things come apart unless the torque wrench wasn't set right or something.
