Certainly big gearing differances in all of those transmissions.  I like the AVX trans in my 92 Eco for sure.  it likes to go 70 or a little more if needed.

I agree with MPG as a priority, but I've got a ACN tranny in the 94
1.6TD Jetta, and it will cruise 70 on the flats, but has to go up the
hills in 4th, under 55.  TOO HIGH of gearing. It gets only 35mpg while
the 91 ecodiesel gets 40 with a AVX tranny (my FAVORITE!).  I've got an
AWY (90 1.6NA diesel) to put in the 94, but it's got a very LOW gearing,
maybe too low?  Ahhh, wish I had another AVX..

Will in Alaska.
