[Vwdiesel] vac pump

Hmmm... I've only had this car since last summer... How often does the
diaphragm type need to be rebuilt?

Trust me, get the newer style vac pump if at all possible. If frees up room
in the engine bay and you don't have to worry about dropping $30 every time
you need to rebuild.
