Glad to hear that they made good (at least sorta) on the screw up.
If it's definitely coming from the exhaust pipe, I can't think of a cause
for this... unless the extended poor running resulted in unburnt fuel
accumulating in the exhaust and slowly evaporating off. Another possibility
is the unburnt fuel may have accumulated in the catalyst and done
temporary(or permanent) damage to the cat.
Either way, I'd let it go for a while and see if things improve.
