If it's a 4 door then check your plastic flap under the door panel.
Otherwise I'd say there likely are drains out the rear. Most other
VW/Porsche/Audi's that I've checked, did have them front and rear.
I'd assume and electric oil pressure sender would do about the same
as a mechanical. It'll peg. I'd be more concerned that it might blow
the seal moreso than actually damage the sender. Not sure just what
it'll do though. Really shoulddn't blow the seal since they're likely made
to at least some overkill tolerance.

You likely either have a leak from the front corner of the bed, into the
cabin or
the water is coming in between the door and door panel. What you're
describing
sounds like it might be coming in the rocker panel area but that shouldn't
leak from
sitting in the rain. DRIVING in the rain maybe...

Are they the round, inspection type plugs? I thought I looked up the
part number for you but not sure if I remembered to post it. It said
there are 6 per vehicle. Have you tried the dealer yet?
