[Vwdiesel] Walking timing belt

could be a failing bearing,, but theres been a TSB on this for over a
decade. the whole pump bracket can be misaligned, making the belt slowly
walk towards one direction. if this is your issue and youre not confident, i
wouldnt suggest it. doing it properly will also require pump timing to be
reset. unless whoever did this job last was a goon and didnt bolt it back up
properly (3 main points behind the pulley) the bracket is a likely scenario.

if your in eastern PA, you'd be in luck, otherwise ask around for a
reputable VW tech.
