  The crank bolts usually have a little loctite on them and indeed 
ARE considerably tighter than the flywheel to pressure plate bolts.
An impact wrench usually rattles them off easily (a decent one does 
anyway).  We don't have a "good" one but a good cheapie, and I've 
never had a problem.
