Good to know about the smell. I have been working on my diesels for 15 years
and have never come across algee yet, knock on wood.

Biobor is still available. We treat the fuel systems in our aircraft with it
yearly. Doubt it makes much difference, but the variant we use is labeled for
aircraft use only. Wouldn't count on the temp being below 93 keeping the bugs
out of diesel and jet fuel. My Suburban last year had algae in the fuel system
and Anchorage doesn't get very many days above 93. When I pulled the filter it
smelled like rotten milk and was slimy.
