[Vwdiesel] '01 Jetta TDI, Head Gasket

After someone said something about that, I started wondering the same thing.  I couldn't remember what, but I did remember that it seemed like there was another possible interface of coolant and exhaust.

Is there any way to determine which thing the problem is, short of changing out one or the other?
