[Vwdiesel] trailers and ferrets!

I have a hitch on my '85 rated at 1500lbs, but have hauled up to 3000lbs
(checked on a scale) for a short distance. It's a drawtite, and has held up
well over the years, mostly for pulling various 14-15' boats, now on its
second Jetta. I'll be selling the Jetta soon, so if anyone needs a hitch,
you're welcome to it, but you'll have to come get it... ;-)
I wouldn't pull more than about 1000lbs any distance due to stopping power,
and pulling any boat up a ramp is always a bit dicey...
