For dielectrics, think of the physics classes and the paper capacitors. I
was onlythinikingof the interface between the starter and the engine. I
recently took mystarter off and found manyyears worth of oil inside, and in
the flange interface, a perfect insulator IIRC.
I used to wrap 'Denso' around connectors for radio/tv transmittters up TV
masts, to weatherproof.
