[Vwdiesel] Intermediate shaft, too tight?

Hi all,
So haha this sounds funny but I think my (intermediate) shaft fits too
tight.
Freshly rebuilt bottom end. Bearings main&rod, hone and seals, freeze plugs,
etc.
When installing the intermediate shaft I noticed that the resistance
spinning by hand is substantial and wondering if this sounds typical of new
bearings (more of a journal/race bearing there) and nothing to worry about,
or if my suspicious concern is well founded.
So whats too tight? I cannot move it with light pressure rolling my hand
over the pulley as usual. I must grab the pulley with a good grip to spin
it.
I did use redline assembly lube and dont hear any abrasion.
Any feedback is appreciated.
After just finishing the valve stem seals I also realize that 4 of my
(hydraulic) lifters are frozen and 4 are spongy like they should be, well 3
actually 1 other is questionably firm and I'm not too keene on the thought
of used lifters from another head, and am tight on cash for new ones..
over-dubbed, Brian
.
