Hi Kurt;
Perhaps you are right. As far as I have observed the Rabbit pickup
is the same as a Rabbit 4 door from the front doors forward.
I have a new Cal look seal that I will use this time but the only
reason I have it is that it came with a Rabbit I bought. I usually use
whatever used seal looks best. I never try to put the plastic trim back in
and a solid seal looks pretty much like a seal made with the slot for trim
if you don't put trim in it. Usually I reuse the seal in the pickup. I
usually get the glass from a donor car. Just cut the seal on the donor car
with a sharp thin knife to get the windshield out. To get the old cracked
windshield out of your Rabbit pickup just get two people in the pickup and
both put your feet on the windshield and push with your eyes closed. Usually
the windshield comes out very broken but pretty whole and the seal is ready
to clean up and reuse.
