Initially I'd say it could be your gauge or voltage stabilizer
so be sure it's REALLY running hot and put a thermometer
in your resefvoir and see what the actual temp is compared to
the opening temp of your stat.
Squealing belt could cause lack of flow at higher speeds and your
PS DOES run over the water pump so yeah, make sure the water
pump's not stiff, causing it, or the belt's not simply loose.

Ah, just remembered the power steering belt has been squealing.. Hmmm,
haven't seen any drips, but guess I'll check for a leaking water pump?
