I've seen that one violated.  But I will say that the calibration on
the capacitive sensors can be real accurate!  I've used them on turboprops and
light jets and they are almost like pulling fuel figures from the FMS.

Then again, the Scan Gauge II works pretty accurately for TDI fuel burn
figures.
