I put one of those on my Jetta.  I pulled it off a long time ago to work 
on the car and haven't got it back on yet.  I'm about to go on a long 
road trip that will include driving down a rocky stream bed, so I'll put 
it back on soon.  It's a fine enough product, but the installation is a 
beast with hand tools.  Has these "rivnut" fasteners which you have to 
deform with via torquing the bolts.  By the time I finished torquing 
those in place with a 1/2" drive wrench, I couldn't move my arms for days.

Just make sure you have access to air tools before you start.
