[Vwdiesel] glow plug fuse block

I knew about doing this kind of thing for the headlight switch in order to save it from the headlight current but hadn’t thought about the key switch.
What all can be/needs to be taken off the ignition switch to save it?

If they are Rabbit type I will give you a couple. I almost always dispense
with the VW glow system and mount a Ford starter solenoid on the firewall
somewhere with a direct hookup to the battery and use a starter button to
work the solenoid. Everything you can take off of the puny Rabbit key switch
is a plus.
