Hah! Or in my case recently - all four will die on you! :) I had a bad relay
take them out on a car that was sitting here as a backup with a good battery
in it. I had to move it and then got lazy and left the battery in. Oops -
relay filled with water and shorted. (Slow leak from windshield. Poor car
has multiple small issues.)
My experience is also with the older diesels, but loss of prime has almost
always been bad fuel lines for me. The rubber or plastic ones. They can
develop very small holes or cracks and leak air in even though you don't see
any dampness from fuel seeping out. Even if you just throw a bit of money at
it and replace every one of those fuel lines, it would be a good bet
compared to the work and money that injection pump work leads to.
