[Vwdiesel] VW cruise control

Hey Ark
Have a look at the injection pump. The vacuum pot on the top that pulls the
throttle lever when you activate cruise has a ball and socket connection to
the injection pump lever. That ball and socket wears and eventually fails,
but stays more or less in place so it still looks right, just does nothing.
It's a 5 dollar part consisting of a socket on a square piece of plastic to
go on the ball that is on the pump, with a wire frame around it that the
plastic part slides inside of. The wire thing is attached to the vacuum
pot.
I've replaced more than five of them for various people with failed cruise
control on the IDI cars.

Hello listees,
In my 1991 Jetta diesel I have factory installed cruise control. I used it
years ago in USA, and never in Portugal, where the car is used since 2007.
When recently I switched it on, it didn't acted. I have no info on
maintenance end its trouble shooting. Thanks in advance for any help.
