The MK2 system is a million times better than the MK1 system, simply because they added a bolt to the ac bracket to hold it in place while you tighten the rest of the bolts.  You don't need 3 hands to do that anymore!

Hoe would you ever get frustrated working on a MK2 with A/C belt system.  Ha Ha Ha.
 
Great gift idea.  I got one of those kits 15 years ago and never found time to try it, so let me know.
IT is still in the basement.

Diesel content, Santa brought me beer making supplies, so that when I
work on my 85 NA Golf, I can take a beer break without getting too
