When I was talking to Giles last fall about a new injector pump for my 1Y engine, he did 
mention the eco-diesel variant used in Canada as well.  I think the early '90s Passats had 
that setup, at least that is what I use for a "vehicle model/year" when I ask for parts at 
VW ('92 Passat as I recall).  He was able to source a used pump for me in Canada and 
rebuilt that for my 1Y engine.  Still working on getting that installed now that the 
weather is a bit nicer.  Pump looks a lot different than the 1.6 n/a pump that is on there 
now and it does have the block off plate where the LDA would be installed.
