[Vwdiesel] Passat electrical woes is me.

On several of my older ECU-controlled cars I have solved problems by simply 
disconnecting and then reconnecting the harness at the ECU, which tends to 
re-establish electrical contacts that have suffered from oxidation. I have 
also located and freshened up the ground points associated with those same 
ECU's.  Usually a green wire and a sheet metal screw into some nearby body 
element.
