  Worked on a Honda 350 once that took out a couple blocks of wood before I 

finally went direct, metal to metal.  Still took a lot of beating to get it 
out.  Don't 
recall anymore whether I managed to clean up that bore or replace it with a 
good, 
used cylinder pair.  That was corrosion though, never had a car piston that 

wouldn't persueade out fairly well.  Never had a really galled in one 
though...
