  I was just talking to a guy.  He needed a serpentine belt put on, maybe a 

water pump.  A guy we both know stopped by, said he could do that cheaper 
than taking time and messing with it himself, so he drove it to his shop, 
said 
it'd be about $50.
  He came back with a bill for $350, needed an oil change, tune up, plugs, 
etc
 etc.  Rod wasn't happy, said he can change his own darn plugs.  Hasn't 
used 
this guy since.  Amazing what some people will assume is ok.
