Ok, I'll call you crazy.

But I have made a few trips like that. Couple years ago I drove from WY to Ark and back in 2 days to pick a sidecar up for my motorcycle. Another time wife and I (always go together) went from SD to Mexico to MN in a few days. We left on a Friday afternoon afterschool, stayed a couple hours in Ark wife family and then made it to Mexico to swim and then we turned around and drove back. I also have driven/towwed the rabbits several times over 1000 miles with a tow bar on the bumper supports. First time I didn't use any lights. Tow car was wide enough I figured I would chance it. But I did get a light bar that had brakes and tails I just hung the wires through the rabbit and called it a day. No cops any time.
