[Vwdiesel] Auto Trans fluid change problem

Well, the thing is a bit weird.  In at least the newest cars, including this '01, there is no dip stick.  

To check the fluid, you are supposed to warm it up, then remove a small screw from the bottom.  (Yes, the bottom.) 

There is a tube that goes up from there (if you are familiar with motorcycles at all, it is similar to the tube in the fuel petcock that gives you a gasoline reserve).  If oil just drips out a little, then the fluid level is correct.  

To fill it, you open a cap down low, insert a tube connected to a long funnel, and fill 'er up.  

The procedure is not even in the Bentley for the car, which surprised me.  But VW says it is a "lifetime" fluid (good til lack of change kills the trans, I suppose) so I guess that is why.
