I was just talking to a friend at work that has a 2006 TDI, by just dropping his
speed to 65mph.
He upped his mpg's to almost 51-52 by just not going any faster then 65 mph.
he was at 47mpg when driving 70 plus on a major roadway called Rt. 78 her in NJ
were most drive 80-85 on this road (crazyyyyyy) , he drives 30 miles each way to
work and back for a 60 mile commute.

It's mostly a function of speed. If Nick were to just drive about 40 MPH,
then we WOULD get 70 MPG.
