1990 Fox Wagon, I have never seen a new Fox then maybe a 85 or 86.
When did they stop making the Fox and were dealers in US selling them through 
the 90's

Not that I recall ??

Hi Adamo.

                The VW Fox  4 speed is a tall tranny. I have one out of an
87 in my 1981 Dasher behind a 1.6 N/A diesel and I went across country last
year on a 8800 mile trip at 49.5 mpg. Your 1.5 diesel rebuilt and installed
into the VW Fox instead of the gas engine should make you a fine car. It
should be a piece of cake engine swap. In my 1990 VW Fox wagon I have
already installed a 5 speed tranny that was out of a Quantum that had a 1.6
turbo diesel engine.

what trans. i just got a fox wagon myself but all i have sitting on the
shelf is a 1980 1.5, 180k thta was running away on me at highway speeds
after40 minutes of 60 mph top speed....think itll work the fox is a four
speed i believe. obviously? gas engine
