Well bright and early tomorrow morning, I will be jumping into my 04 Jetta TDI and driving hell bent for leather, towards the state of Pennsylvania to pick up a car. Looks to be about a 2800 mile round trip, through some pretty country that I have seen before and it will be interesting to see how it flat tows back to Texas. I simply couldn't pass up an 82 Jetta Diesel Coupe for $700!!! I actually didn't know that they made a coupe version of the MK1 Jetta. Car looks to be (from the pictures and descriptions the guy gave me on the phone) in pretty decent condition. I will pull the turbo diesel engine back out of the Cabby project and reassign it to the Jetta. That of course means that the Cabby is for sale. If anyone is interested, drop me an email off list and I can give you the details. If any of you live along I-40 through Arkansas and Tennessee or I-81 Though Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, think about me as I drive though or give me a call to say Hi (817-791-2440). I expect to drive about 16 hours tomorrow before stopping to set up camp, and then get up to go the rest of the way on Friday. Well, I will get back on list in a few days and let you guys (y'all if you are in Texas) know how it went. Hayden
