That is true, but with all due respect, not everyone wants to do an engine 
swap. I've got a 1.6N/A and would be completely happy with an upgrade to a 
1.6TD.

If your 1.6TD is in good condition and just needs a rebuild, why not do a 
little upgrade.

One other thing to consider is this, even TDI's need pump rebuilds from time 
to time. So, in the long run, you have the cost of the TDI, the labor of the 
swap, and the cost of a TDI pump rebuild, etc. Then again, the power and 
relative lack of noise of a TDI is quite nice ;-)
