Wiggle it a bit, the end of the pipe inserts into the fitting. The fitting
you see on the turbo is to adapt an npt threaded hole to accept a flared
fitting.. well, a compression fitting actually, with a steel ferrule on the
pipe. The pipe fits quite snug into the adapter fitting and the ferrule has
as step on it IIRC Dave.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] Removing Turbo Oil Supply Line

Pulling the head off of an '02 Jetta TDI, ALH engine.

One of the final steps is removing the turbo oil lines. I am having a hard
time getting the oil supply line off/out. I undid the flare nut, but the
line won't lift out of the turbo.

Is it just stuck and needs some wiggling, or do I need to remove the little
fitting that the flare nut attaches to? If so, how? I couldn't easily get
a wrench on it.

Thanks,

Dave Cook
