I believe this is a "phishing" scam. I recently received a similar from "Google" asking for similar info. I almost fell for it but then suspected something fishy. I have had trouble becoming involved in Yahoo discussion groups & have given up on them. I think it pays to be a little paranoid when on the Internet. Beware of scams on Paypal & eBay or other groups asking to "confirm" info they should have.
