[Vwdiesel] Overboosting Problems

Not tuned other than changing the EGR output with VAG Com.

In response to Tad's comment:

I could not say for sure that I got the proper movement on the actuator, though when I checked it when the head was off last spring (the gasket was leaking a little bit of exhaust to the coolant) I saw good movement.  On Friday I could also feel what seemed like the right amount of movement but I couldn't see it, just reached down and felt it.

I'll try to pull the vacuum line maybe this weekend and see what happens.  I'll also swap in the old valve and see if it is better.

Is the TDI in question tuned? Brother had this issue with first tune and it had to be tweeked some before fixing it. If we are both EXTREMLY hard on the car (racing eachother at speeds I don't want to mention) then we will still get the codes. We both have boost/EGT gauges, tuned the same, same engines, etc. Only differences is I have a scan gauge and his is a wagon and mine a Golf. We both notice our boost goes to 25 then settles back down as well without a trigger of limp mode. Other then that-this is all the help I am.
