  Dad's on his 3rd I think.  Finally went to an in-tank design  but it 
seems I heard the next revision went back to the original design 
but "improved."
 
  How about the early TH700R4 transmissions?  Dad talked to a 
guy with about 40K, having his 3rd or 4th one done.  They just 
pulled it in, swapped it, threw the old one in a BIG pile in the 
corner and three hours later(?) he was on his way under warranty!
