As you all know, I posted a couple of weeks ago about my trial of repairs that led to more repairs and so on on my 04 Jetta TDI with BEW engine. I kind of threw it out for you guys to guess what would happen next. Many of you guessed catastrophic things like the clutch or the started or….? Well the other shoe fell the other day. Immediately after start up on a cold morning, the check engine light comes on. Oh, bad glow plug I am thinking. Checking with the VCDC seems to confirm, that the #1 is toast. This goes on for a couple of more days but with a different cylinder code each time, #1 a couple of times, #2 one time and #3 one time. Hummm says I, sounds more like the harness than the plugs. Sure enough the harness disintegrated in my hands. Quick replacement project this morning and all seems well. Lets hope this is the last in a string. Hayden
