Dave:
I have a Giles pump on my 1.6L NA in my 82 caddy. If I remember correctly, I paid about $750 w/core. Being totally new to diesels, but having had a rabbit back in '75, I am quite impressed and quite happy with the pump. I have tweaked a few other areas also:
1.5L exhaust manifold, techtonics two-to-one down pipe, 2 1/4" exhaust. My pump allows me to push a 3.67 5 speed that was standard on '93 TDs and probably 1.9L engines. ken

Subject: [Vwdiesel] High performance diesel injection pump
Hi,
I need to replace my leaking diesel injection pump on caddy and someone told me about a place in Ontario that builds high performance diesel injection pumps. He wants $750 for one. Has any had any experience with these pumps as far as longevity and performance. Are they worth the extra cost? Here is the chart he sent me showing the improved performance.
Thanks,
Dave
