[Vwdiesel] Ok, let's try another: Brake master cylinder leaking

I've been "without brakes" on the pickup for a few months now. It stops,
just not well.
The 50K mile, master cylinder started leaking around the reservoir
grommets late last year. It got worse, a wheel cylinder started leaking badly so
I replaced both to get rid of the leaks and better brakes back.
Rebuilt mc leaked in the same place, worse. Grommets were really sloppy
in the holes. Got another, better but the same. Found a good price on a
new mc (Cardone) it was better but still leaks, same place. Yes I checked
if the reservoir was cracked. It's stressing from being removed so much
but no cracks, held pressure (by mouth). I even put a single wrap of
electrical tape around the necks of the tubes going into the grommets. Still
leaks.
The only suggestion I've had so far is to heat and stretch the tubes
back out, with a blunt tube or rod, just a bit larger. I'd just replace it
but I found one place that had them for $89!! Kinda steep for a piece of
plastic, to see if it's the problem or another sloppy grommet. These still
don't fit TIGHT in the bores.)
Anybody else had similar problems or a good suggestion?
Oh, yeah, It's the Bendix mc rather than the ATE, which everyone's now
calling "ah-tay" (sounds like Buckwheat's gone into the parts business!)
Bendix is way harder to find and higher priced, of course.
   Loren
