Talk about climate change!
  We used to get a LOT of snow  here.  There were rumors of  cloud seeding 
tests, 
then El Niño, global warming...  Several years ago, I got to wondering  if 
it wasn't 
due to the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project.  They used to raise  great 
cantaloupe 
just an hour from here.  Not so much anymore.  It's a lot  cooler.  
Irrigation does that.  
Large irrigated areas certainly  have the capability of changing the 
climate, change 
wind currents, temperatures, put more moisture in the air, etc.  Never  
heard anybody 
attribute something tangible like that, to it.
 
  Frankly, if we get all that hydrogen fusion, we'll all be out of a  
diesel list!  ;-)
