[Vwdiesel] starter issue in Diesel Vanagon

Bryan, 
  If the engine isn't frozen like Loren suspects why don't u get a 
replacement starter? In my mind sometimes it is just not profitable
to fix items that can easily be replaced relatively inexpensively.
