[Vwdiesel] Geo Metro

Not a diesel I know. But we don't fully hold to just VW diesels so I figured some other car talk. I saw a Geo Metro 103K miles. It is the 3 cyl 1.0 L with 5 spd. Issues I can tell is the right side has seen an impact but kind of fixed. The outside is fixed but I may need a welder to make it a little safer. Needs tires. I think my snow tires from the rabbit will fit on the rims on the Geo. No AC and no CD player. Does have dual air bags. Cracked windshield. Almost no rust. Talked him down to $750 for it. I figure I will have that in the 86 Golf to get it running by winter and that wasn't for sure going to happen either (time/money). The Dodge at between 6-10mpg and a list of things that feels like it could go wrong I figure would break the bank sometime as well. So now I need to figure if I get the Golf going and sell the Dodge or the Golf and do I even mess with the Golf. I will at least attempt to start. I have a couple spare trannys since the guy parked it for that reason he said. Also have a couple injection pumps and a few rotary vac pumps to sell to help fund it but half of what I make is my brothers and if I sell half is his or if I keep $350 is his. Money money right. So now I need to drive the dreaded gas engine during the winter while my wife drives the 04 Golf (stability control, more air bags, better handling, further drive, safer). Sorry for the vent. I need to research that car some more.
