Hello friendly list, I'm mostly a lurker on here, but I have three questions regarding a MK2 1.6 NA diesel I'm working on. BTW, it's an '89 Jetta.
1. Where do I get the biodiesel compatible fuel hoses from? I need the feed and return lines from the filter, as well as the small return lines that run from each injector nipple. I bought some years ago for my MK1, but I've lost the link :(
2. Where can I get a seal for the upper portion of the injection pump. That is, the part that the throttle linkage is attached to. It is a rubber o-ring type of seal, but sort of rectangular. If not just the seal, I'll also take a complete seal kit.
3. This injection pump has a pod on the top of it, much like a turbo-diesel. Anyone know if the factory ever fitted this type of pump to a non-turbo. There is no evidence of this car ever being a turbo (manifold, oil lines, etc). My thinking is that maybe there was a problem with the original pump at some point in the car's past, and this is all they had "laying around", so they put it on the car.
Thanks in advance,
Tony
