HI Bill;
	Old VW switches are a problem. I would just find a keyed hot wire
and use a toggle switch to energize the fuel solenoid. Got one on my Dasher
Wagon.

Yesterday I finally fired up my 79 diesel Rabbit 4 dr.  I had struggled with
it a couple times earlier in the month.  To my shagrine I found that I had
no power to the fuel valve.  All fifteen fuses are good.  
Maybe a rat got to my wire loom.
