Thanks for the information! It is obvious that you have spent a bit of time on these things and know your stuff. I was looking to pick up a spare turbo pump to get sent to the great white north to l et Giles mess with it to eventually go on my GTD project. Hayden

After sorting the governor spring, proper advance spring and range of motion, delivery valve length and proper sprocket offset they make EXCELLENT high performance mTDI injection pumps.

The shaft is the length of the 1.6TD pump (AAZ shaft is longer). There is not any stock VW sprocket that fits the shorter shaft (all the VW 20mm sprockets fit the longer shaft). That eBay pump does spin the right way and the accelerator lever rotates the correct way. Internally it is also quite different. The dynamic advance spring gives a very different advance curve, the advance piston is different, the governor spring setup is a single un-caged extension spring and limits the rpms to approx 2500. The camplate has MUCH higher lift and is much steeper. The LDA lever is on the side opposite that of the VW LDA lever. The delivery valves are the longer length which fits only the 90-97 1.6 and AAZ pumps. There is no cold start advance accommodation.
