The bleeder being on the bottom would not have alerted me either to that causing an issue with getting the air out of the caliper. I learned something from all of this as well for sure. thanks all.

Glad you got it sorted out.
On my 4x4, I swapped in rear disc brakes and those are from a passenger car. To get the
e-brake mechanism to line up right you have to put them on the "wrong" side and the
bleeder ends up on the bottom. So I have them mounted with extra long flex hoses to allow
spinning them 180* around the disc for bleeding.
Wish they were like the Wilwood calipers I have on the front of the truck, those have
bleeders on top and bottom, so they can be installed any way you want. When I first
installed those brakes, I wondered why the heck there were two bleeders on each caliper,
but it was not until later that I realized the benefit.
