[Vwdiesel] a wheel lug recommendation

hello all, i am wanting to put on some low profile wheels wheels on a cabrio (diesel conversion) and it has occurred to me that the lugs need to be the slim version cap with an extension socket. i have enclosed an ebay example and wondered if anyone has experience with after market wheels regarding lugs, size to fit.i have a set of 17"s that i purchased really cheap so i could test for fit. 17" seemed to offer some reasonable priced tire options. this is just a city play car and realize i am sacrificing ride comfort.
