[Vwdiesel] cleaning the expansion tank

Tad,
  Since I asked that question I went on line and found one for less than
fifteen bucks.  If the one I have doesn't want to clean up and play nice
I'll replace it. Thanks for the responses.

My mechanic just replaced mine (without asking!).  It was surprisingly cheap though...
