[Vwdiesel] Piston Ring questions

Found it. The 1.7l rings they sell are the correct bore (79.5mm)

So, that is what I'll order. From what I'm reading on TDIClub though, I
only need the 2nd compression ring, stop Goetze top and oil rings are fine.
Is that true?
