He corrects himself in the ad stating that the car "should" get 60mpg.
Never.  I have a 1997 golf 1.9td. with the AAZ engine. Best it's ever done
was 50 mpg imperial, around 42 us/gal, and I tuned it reasonably well.
First diesel I've ever had that had real honest to goodness heat in winter
however. 
It's coming out of mothballs in the spring for my daughter to drive. (glup)

i thought something looked incorrect. he buys things from out of the area
and again prefers the german makes especially the diesels.
