Well I managed to solve three problems with my 82 Jetta GTD project today. First of all I successfully reengineered my digital clock to a 12 hour clock instead of the 24 hour clock. It was really pretty easy once I had the clock apart to look at it. Instructions are available with pictures on VWvortex and a few other places also. I also managed to fix my nonworking glow plug indicator light. Since I was going to have to take the clock out anyway, I checked the LEDs and guess what? There was no LED in place for the glow plug indicator. Looks like someone had just taken a fuel gauge/clock section from another cluster (from a gasser) and dropped it in place. Luckily, I have a few clusters for parts so I swapped in the correct LED array and now I have all my LED lights on when they are supposed to be. Tomorrow, I intend to reinstall all the dash components, finish my accessory gauge installation and button up the inside. I also found a replacement bulb for the head light switch. For those of you that don't know, the Jettas, Cabrios, Sciroccos and maybe some of the Rabbits, used a bulb that plugs into the switch harness and then into the switch. Book says it takes a "73" push in bulb. Turns out a "37" is exactly the same size but ½ watt brighter. I am currently waiting for the brake pressure regulator for the rear of the car and I should be able to get it aligned and inspected so I can finally get it legal to drive. Hayden
