[Vwdiesel] AAZ oil pan?

Haven't seen a Vanagon oil pan. I don't know if the windage tray would have issues depending on how the oil sits. Bolt holes would line up but the oil level would be the only concern. Someone else with Vanagon experience would need to answer this.

So there is a windage tray sandwiched in the heavy gasket between the pan and block, the gasket is still stuck to pan for now. Can the windage tray still be used with my Vanagon oil pan? Thanks!!

The oil pan if you have all the bolts out should come off. Have you tried a block of wood or rubber mallet to loosen things up? There is a windage tray with a rubber gasket surface to both sides as the gasket on the aaz. I didn't have a tranny bolted up to it nor a flywheel but I did leave the crank sprocket on. I have yet to actually do the crank sprocket. Maybe I will now that I have a good shop and I don't drive in the winter with the rabbits. Then I would sleep even better.
